LISTENING TO GOD

Listening to God requires making time for Him. In the second part of his sermon series, Steps to God’s Guidance, Dr. Stanley assures us that, as believers, all we need to do is seek Him and He will answer. When we stop striving and dive into His word, we open the door to experience His many blessings.

Supporting Scriptures: Psalms 32:8 |Proverbs 3:5-6 | John 3:3
Introduction
It’s very comforting to know that God loves us enough to make a plan for each of our lives. Although it’s the best possible path, His way is not always the easiest. We may have to climb a few mountains and walk through some dark valleys, but if we follow His instructions, we’ll discover the rewards of living according to His will. That’s why it’s important to ask the Lord for direction and be ready and willing to listen.

Summary
Since God has a plan for our lives, we can be certain that He is continually seeking to guide us into it. But if we’re not listening, we’ll miss His instructions and go the wrong way. We can tune our hearts to the Lord’s voice by setting aside time to read His Word, and by listening for His Spirit to speak. When we make time for God, He lead us into His will.
